Today Marks 15 Years of Allegiant Air Service in Wichita

Today marks 15 years of Allegiant Air service in Wichita! On Feb. 27, 2003, Allegiant first flew from Wichita to Las Vegas.

An Elvis impersonator and Vegas show girls were included in the inaugural celebration events – pretty fitting for a flight to the city called the “Entertainment Capital of the World!”

In 2009, Allegiant added a second nonstop destination from ICT to Phoenix-Mesa (AZA).

Allegiant also offers seasonal nonstop flights to Orlando-Sanford (SFB) and Los Angeles (LAX). These flights will return for the 2018 summer season. Nonstop service to SFB begins on May 16 and to LAX on June 6.

In its 15 years of service, Allegiant has flown 690,378 passengers from Wichita.
