Safe Travels to Nassau

Nassau is now open for leisure travelers.  Starting in November, you can fly United Airlines to Nassau (NAS) with one connection in Houston.

One of the most alluring features in the Bahamas is the sparkling turquoise waters.  From Google Earth, you can see colors ranging from crystal clear turquoise to all imaginable shades of blues: ultramarine, azure, cerulean, royal blue, sea green, and even rich purples, a striking contrast to the white sandy beaches.  Water temperatures average 800F year-round.

Nassau’s history and culture are worth exploring.  The island of Guanahani, more commonly known as San Salvador, was Christopher Columbus’ first landfall in the New World.  Columbus claimed the island for Spain but lack of gold led the Spaniards to focus on settlements elsewhere in the Caribbean.  Eventually, England claimed the Bahamas which is why English is spoken. The U.S. dollar is on par with the Bahamian dollar.

Nassau Paradise Island offers something for everyone.  You can board a 45-foot catamaran for a coral reef excursion, explore a shipwreck on a half-day scuba diving trip, stroll the bottom of a shark exhibit for a little face-to-nose time, or even try Snuba, which pairs the simplicity of snorkeling with the wonders of underwater breathing. Add in the Caribbean’s largest marine habitat and waterscape at Atlantis, and you’ll soon discover a world of wonderful water activities awaits you on Nassau Paradise Island.

How about a fishing adventure?  Bahama fish outfitters will guide you to great fishing spots to catch the big ones, like blue marlin, tuna, and barracuda.

Paradise Island Dinner Cruise

The Bahamas is packed with romantic retreats and experiences that are perfect for couples. Stroll hand-in-hand along powder-white beaches, savor an intimate candlelit dinner on the beach, or enjoy a Paradise Island dinner cruise.

Travelers are required to complete an electronic Bahamas health Visa application form. Also, travelers must present a negative COVID-19 swab test taken no more than five days prior to the date of arrival. Please refer to Covid Travel Update for your travel requirements.
