Passenger traffic at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport fell slightly in June. A total of 155,092 passengers flew in and out of ICT this June, which was down .97% from last June’s total of 156,607. For the year, passenger traffic is up 1.26%. Air cargo was up 14.09% from last year and is up 3.19% for the year.
The number of seats available in June was down 3.8% and flights were down 5.6% compared to June 2017. This decrease in capacity is the main reason for the decrease in passengers. Flights were pretty full, with an average load factor of 88%.
Food and gift sales were flat and parking revenue decreased 7.55%. However, rental car revenue was up almost 11% over a year ago.
