Total passenger traffic at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport increased 11.14% over February 2015, for a total of 106,206 passengers, marking the second busiest February on record. The busiest February occurred in 2008 with 118,484 passengers. Since this was a leap year, an extra day contributed to the large increase over last February. However, passenger traffic is up 8% compared to February 2012 (the previous leap year).
The increase can be attributed to the modern and convenient terminal and parking garage. “Passengers want quality air service, convenience and amenities, and are finding them at ICT,” said Valerie Wise, Air Service and Business Development Manager.
