The airlines have increased capacity at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport for the busy summer travel season. During the months of June – July, the airlines have scheduled 22% more flights and 24% more seats than last summer. The most significant changes are listed below:
American Airlines
- Saturday nonstop flights to Miami begin June 7
- Added a 4th daily flight to Chicago; that makes 43 more flights and 3,843 more seats in June-July
- Added an Airbus 320 with 150 seats on the 7:00 am flight to DFW; will now have 8 daily flights
Delta Air Lines
- Added 4th daily flight to Atlanta in July for 22 more flights
- Added 2nd daily flight to Minneapolis in June for 46 more flights
Southwest Airlines
- Will add a 2nd daily flight to Denver in June but will suspend its Phoenix flights during the hot summer. Phoenix flights will return in October.
United Airlines
- Added a 5th daily flight to Houston which will operate 3 days/week
- Upgauged from the 50-seat RJs to the 76-seat RJs on the Denver route, an increase of 22% more seats and 24% more flights in June-July compared to 2024
- Added a narrowbody aircraft (126-166 seats) on one of the daily Chicago flights; total flights will increase 42% and seats 92% in June-July over 2024.
