Effective April 19, 2010, Frontier Airlines is making significant improvements to the service it provides Wichita Mid-Continent Airport. Service will now be provided with comfortable 76-seat Embraer-170 regional jets, leather seats, and a 2 x 2 configuration, which means no middle seats. Frontier has moved to gate 1 on the east concourse instead of gate 7. Passengers will now be able to board a Frontier flight using a jet bridge.
Now that Republic has decided to combine the Frontier and Midwest brands, the Frontier name and its spokesanimals will remain. The chocolate chip cookies that Midwest was famous for will now be served on all Frontier flights starting this summer.
Frontier has also adjusted its schedule, which takes effect April 19. The new schedule to/from Denver is:
