Eisenhower Airport Receives Perfect Inspection

On Wednesday, July 27 the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) completed its annual Certification and Safety Inspection of Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport. Airport officials are pleased to report that zero (0) discrepancies were found in the inspection. This successful inspection represents ICT’s fourth straight year without a single regulatory discrepancy or deviation. The inspection covers such areas as airport emergency response capability, airfield maintenance and inspection program, notice to airmen procedures, fueler training, wildlife management, and personnel training programs. The certification inspection was conducted this year by the FAA Central Region’s Lead Certification Inspector.

The FAA Central Region inspector was highly complementary of the airport, staff and procedures. “This is a testament of the dedication and commitment of airport staff to insure that our airports are operated efficiently, safely and in accordance with federal requirements,” said Brad Christopher, Assistant Director of Airports.
