Airlines are gearing up for a busy summer travel season by adding more flights from Wichita! Plus, new one-stop connections are now available through Chicago and Atlanta, making it easier than ever to reach your destination.
AMERICAN AIRINES
American has announced nine new destinations from its Chicago hub which will offer more one-stop options from Wichita:

- Colorado Springs, Colorado (COS) June 5, 2025
- Halifax, Canada (YHZ) June 21, 2025
- Honolulu, Hawaii (HNL) Oct. 26, 2025
- Hyannis, Massachusetts (HYA) June 21, 2025
- Madrid, Spain (MAD) March 30, 2025
- Naples, Italy (NAP) May 6, 2025
- Spokane, Washington (GEG) June 5, 2025
American will a third daily flight to Chicago in March, and a fourth daily flight in May.
Miami – Great news for summer vacationers! American Airlines is launching nonstop flights to Miami this summer. The service will begin on June 7 through August 2 and operate on Saturdays only. The Miami schedule leaves early and returns late:
- ICT-MIA – Depart at 5:14 am, arrive at 9:20 am.
- MIA-ICT – Depart at 9:15 pm, arrive at 11:44 pm.
Washington, DC – Nonstop service to Washington, DC will operate 7 days/week starting in May. Currently, American does not operate to DC on Saturdays. Departure times are also changing:

DELTA AIR LINES
Delta will add a fourth daily flight from Wichita to Atlanta in July and a second daily flight to Minneapolis in June.
Delta is expanding service to Africa with new routes from Atlanta. Starting Oct. 25, 2025, passengers from Wichita can fly to Marrakech, Morocco with one connection. Delta is also adding seasonal service from Atlanta to Accra, Ghana beginning Dec. 1, 2025.
SOUTHWEST AIRLINES
Southwest Airlines’ fares and schedules can now be found on the Expedia Group of distribution channels. That means that you can search for Southwest fares and schedules on Expedia, Travelocity, Hotwire, Orbitz, and CheapTickets. Previously, Southwest only advertised on southwest.com.
Southwest’s seasonal service to Phoenix ends in June but will add a 2nd Denver flight in its place. Phoenix service will resume in the fall.
UNITED AIRLINES
United will add a fifth daily flight to Houston and Denver, operating in June-August.
