WICHITA, Kan. — Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) is excited to announce that Southwest Airlines will launch new nonstop service between Wichita and Nashville International Airport (BNA) beginning in March 2027, giving travelers another convenient nonstop destination from Wichita.
The new route will connect south-central Kansas with one of the nation’s fastest-growing leisure and business destinations while also providing additional connections through Southwest’s network.
“Nashville nonstop service strengthens Wichita’s air service portfolio, provides more travel options for our passengers, and creates new opportunities for business, tourism, and family travel,” said Jesse R. Romo, Director of Airports. “We appreciate Southwest Airlines’ continued investment in the Wichita market.”
Known as “Music City,” Nashville offers world-renowned live music, award-winning dining, professional sports, and a thriving healthcare and business community. The route also provides convenient access for travelers heading to Tennessee and the surrounding region.
“We’re thrilled to continue growing our partnership with Wichita by adding Nashville to our route map,” said Hudson Hadd, Network Planning Consultant for Southwest. “Whether customers are traveling for business, a weekend getaway, or to connect beyond Nashville, we’re excited to offer another convenient nonstop option from ICT.”
The announcement marks another milestone in ICT’s continued efforts to expand air service and provide additional travel opportunities for the Wichita region. The airport has experienced record passenger activity in recent years, reflecting the growing demand for air travel in south-central Kansas.
