Notice of Public Hearing for Proposed Improvements at Colonel James Jabara Airport

The Wichita Airport Authority (WAA) intends to undertake improvements at Jabara Airport including building construction, site improvements, and converting property from aeronautical to non-aeronautical land use.  WAA will address the proposed actions’ potential economic, social, and environmental impacts at a public hearing on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Wichita Airport Authority Administration Office, 2173 S Air Cargo Rd, Wichita.  The public information workshop begins at 6:00 p.m., followed by the public hearing at 6:30. The draft environmental assessment (EA) describing the proposed action’s impacts will be available for public review until October 6, 2025, at the WAA Administration office, and in this August 18 news article.
