Wichita Eisenhower Airport Sets Passenger Record in June

Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Airport reached a new milestone in June 2025, setting an all-time monthly passenger record with 180,605 travelers flying in and out of the airport.  This surpasses the previous record of 176,506 passengers set in July 2024.

Compared to June 2024, total passengers increased by 2.69%, and by 7% over June 2019, the last comparable pre-pandemic year. For the year to date, passenger traffic at ICT is up 0.87%.

The surge in passengers is largely attributed to increased airline capacity. Airlines added both flights and seats during the month. Delta resumed a second daily flight to Minneapolis. American Airlines launched seasonal Saturday nonstop service to Miami on June 7 and added a fourth daily flight to Chicago. United Airlines increased to five daily flights to Houston on select days and upgraded one of its four daily Chicago flights to a larger narrowbody aircraft.

Overall seat capacity rose by 9.7% compared to June 2024.
