‘What a trip’ contest rules
Eligibility
No purchase necessary. The Wichita Eisenhower National Airport “What A Trip” Contest (the “Contest”), is brought to you by Wichita Eisenhower National Airport (the “Sponsor”), and is governed by these official rules. To enter, you (“you” or “participant”) must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of the state of Kansas. All entries become the Sponsor’s exclusive property. Void where prohibited. Sponsor reserves the right, at any time, to verify eligibility requirements, in any manner it deems appropriate.
Timeframe
The Contest begins at 8:00 a.m. CDT on July 25, 2016 and concludes at 11:59 p.m. CDT on August 12, 2016 (“Contest Entry Period”). Air travel must originate from Wichita Eisenhower National Airport on Southwest Airlines’ nonstop Phoenix service with arrival back to Wichita, Kansas between September 15, 2016 and September 1, 2017 (pending availability). Airfare must be booked 21 days in advance.
Instructions
Sponsor will give away to one winner a getaway package for two to Phoenix, including round-trip airfare for two to Phoenix on Southwest Airlines; a two-night stay at a Wigwam Resort (availability and certain blackout dates apply); two passes to the Phoenix Art Museum, two passes to the Heard Museum, and up to seven (7) days of free parking at the Wichita Eisenhower National Airport. During the Contest Entry Period, the Sponsor will promote through FlyWichita.com and online advertising, and communicate how participants can enter the What A Trip contest. To enter, the user must use the form provided on FlyWichita.com to enter a highlight from a recent trip. Through the website, participants will be added to a database. The winner will be announced on August 16, 2016.
Requirements
By sharing your What A Trip story FlyWichita.com, you hereby warrant and represent that your entry conforms to the requirements in these rules. Entries must be in English.
Entries must meet the following additional requirements. Entries…
- Cannot be: sexually explicit or suggestive; promote violence including and not limited to fighting, war and mass destruction; derogatory of persons with disabilities, or persons in any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, occupational or age group; or be profane, pornographic, or contain nudity.
- Cannot promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing).
- Cannot promote any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or espouse or advance any particular political agenda or message.
- Cannot be obscene, offensive, or endorse any form of hate or hate group.
- Cannot defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging remarks about Sponsor or its products/services, or other people, products or companies.
- Cannot contain trademarks, service marks, logos or trade dress owned by others or advertise or promote any brand or product of any kind, without permission, or contain any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, email addresses or street addresses.
- Cannot contain copyrighted materials owned by others (including images of photographs, movie or television clips, sculptures, paintings and other works of art published without permission.
- Cannot contain materials embodying the names, likenesses, photographs, or other indicia identifying any person, living or dead, other than the Participant without express, verifiable permission.
- Cannot communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which Sponsor wishes to associate; and entries cannot depict activities, and cannot be, in violation of any law.
- This contest is not a public forum for expression, and is proprietary to the Sponsor.
Rights
BY SUBMITTING, PARTICIPANT ACKNOWLEDGES THAT HIS/HER ENTRY MAY BE POSTED ON SPONSOR’S WEBSITE AND/OR OTHER MARKETING MATERIALS, AT SPONSOR’S DISCRETION. Sponsor reserves the right to, and may or may not, monitor/screen entries prior to posting them to the website. By entering, you acknowledge that Sponsor has no obligation to use or post any entry you submit. Submission of an entry grants Sponsor and its agents an unlimited, worldwide, perpetual license and right to publish, use or publicly perform the entry in any way, in any and all media, without limitation, and without consideration to the participant.
Prize
A getaway package for two to Phoenix, including round-trip airfare for two to Phoenix on Southwest Airlines; a two-night stay at Wigwam Resort (availability and certain blackout dates apply); two passes to the Phoenix Art Museum; two passes to the Heard Museum and up to seven (7) days of free parking at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport. Winner must be able to provide proper identification (ID) and be eligible to fly within the United States. Prize cannot be assigned, transferred or substituted except by Sponsor, who may, at its sole discretion, substitute any prize with one of comparable value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
Selecting a winner
Potential winners will be selected on August 16, 2016 from among all eligible entries. Entrants will be judged on the quality of their highlight and potential for it to be expanded to a feature story in Eisenhower Air, the airport magazine. The Participant posting the winning highlight will be contacted by email or phone. Individuals chosen will have 24 hours to respond. If the winner does not respond within 24 hours, another contestant will be selected and the Sponsor will use the same notification and confirmation process. If the second selected contestant does not accept the prize as required, the same process will be used in a third drawing. If the third and final selected contestant does not accept by noon CDT on August 19, the contest will go un-awarded
Conditions
Participants agree (a) to these official rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final and binding, (b) that Sponsor, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated entities, advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents will have no liability whatsoever for, and are released and shall be held harmless by participants against any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, or from other liability losses arising from submission of an entry, or from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in this Contest or Contest-related activities.
Required Documentation
All winners may be required to complete, sign, and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release within seven (7) days after notification. If all documents are not returned on a timely basis, or if any prize notification or prize is returned as non-deliverable, or if winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these official rules and the requirements stated here and on the Wichita Eisenhower National Airport website, FlyWichita.com – such prize may be forfeited. Taxes on a prize are solely the responsibility of the winner.
General Provisions
Neither Sponsor nor its agencies are responsible for not receiving entries, no matter what the reason even if known in advance, or for other errors of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic or network, or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry or the failure to capture any such information. Persons who tamper with any aspect of the Contest, as solely determined by the Sponsor, or who attempt to participate with multiple email addresses or under multiple identities will be disqualified. Any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed or other like entry methods will void all such entries and disqualify any entrant or participant using such methods. Should any portion of the contest be, in Sponsor’s sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, technical failures or other causes which, in the sole opinion of the Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Contest. In case of dispute, the authorized subscriber of the email account used to enter the Contest at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant, and must comply with these official rules.
Governance
The Sweepstakes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Kansas and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) rules and regulations. By submitting an entry, participants submit to the jurisdiction of the federal and state courts to venue in Sedgwick County, Kansas and waive the right to have disputes arising out of the subject matter hereof adjudicated in any other forum. Each participant waives the right to proceed with any claim on a representative or class basis and waives the right to join or consolidate in an action with others who may be similarly situated.
