Wichita Eisenhower National Airport reports that 33,699 passengers flew out of ICT in the month of November, a decrease of 52.16% from the previous year. There were 27% fewer flights and 29% fewer seats. Through November, there have been 724,155 total passengers compared to 1,599,972 in the 11 months of 2019.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving brought 1,674 passengers that flew out of ICT. That was the most passengers since Labor Day. Last November’s daily average was 2,348.
Outgoing air cargo increased 3.32%, with 966 tons being shipped out of ICT. Incoming cargo was down 3.18%.
Fewer passengers result in less concession sales. Food and gift sales fell 57.03%. Rental cars fell 45.45% and parking lot revenue fell 61.68%.
