In July, Wichita Eisenhower National Airport saw a record 176,506 passengers, marking a 4.76% increase from the previous record set in July 2023. This number is also 5% higher than in July 2019, before the pandemic. So far, 1,044,108 passengers have traveled through ICT this year.
The rise in traffic was supported by a 12% increase in flights and 3.7% more available seats compared to last year. American Airlines significantly expanded its capacity, with 11% more seats to Dallas-Fort Worth and 33.3% more seats to Chicago O’Hare. The addition of American’s routes to Washington, DC, and Phoenix, and Southwest Airlines daily service to Las Vegas also helped boost traffic.
