Biggest November Ever

It was the biggest November ever at Wichita Eisenhower National Airport.  A total of 145,195 passengers flew in and out of ICT, an increase of 5% over the previous November, setting a new record for the month.  For the year, a total of 1,524,812 passengers flew in and out of Wichita through November, up 2.48% over 2017.

The previous record year occurred in 2017, with 1,620,240 total passengers.  ICT is on track to beat that record.

The increases in travel demand can be attributed to Frontier Airlines’ low fares to Denver.  United has added more seats and lowered fares to Denver.   Allegiant and Alaska also showed strong increases in traffic.

Concession revenue also showed sizable gains.  Food and gift receipts were up 11.79%, rental cars increased 14.32% and parking revenue increased 11.10%.

Cargo activity increased 15.47% in November and is up almost 7% for the year.

Seven airlines serve Wichita Eisenhower Airport:  Alaska Airlines, Allegiant Air, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines.

Cargo operators include:  FedEx, UPS, Empire Airlines and DHL.
