American Airlines has made some adjustments to the Washington, DC flight schedule. The current departure time to DC is 2:54 pm, arriving in DC 15 6:45 pm. In June, the flight to DCA will leave Wichita at 1:10 pm, arriving in DC at 5:03 pm. From DCA, the flight will depart at 10:20 am and arrive in Wichita at 12:39 pm. Starting in August, the flight to DCA will depart at 5:45 pm, arriving in DC at 9:30 pm. From DCA, the flight will depart at 2:30 pm and arrive in Wichita at 4:45 pm. Weekend schedules vary slightly. This schedule will remain through the year.
American Airlines will add an eighth daily flight to Dallas/Fort Worth in June which will operate through August. American added a third daily flight to Chicago in April.

Southwest Airlines re-released its June/July schedule to account for additional Boeing delivery delays. The revision is effective June 4 through August 4. The revision had a positive impact on Wichita in that Southwest restored a second daily to Denver on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. There were no other changes.
Overall, the number of flights in Q2 2024 will increase 16.2% and seats will increase 3.8%, compared to Q2 2023.
