Wichita Mid-Continent Airport Receives Perfect Inspection

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) conducted its annual Certification and Safety Inspection of Wichita Mid-Continent Airport this week.  Airport officials are pleased to report that zero (0) discrepancies were found in the inspection.  The inspection covers airport emergency response capability, airfield safety maintenance and self-inspection program, compliance with FAA regulatory and operational directives, and personnel training programs.  The certification inspection was conducted this year by the FAA Central Region’s Lead Certification Inspector.  The Inspector was very complementary of the airport organization, procedures and facilities.

 “My sincere compliments and congratulations go out to all of our Operations, Maintenance and Public Safety staffs that have again made it possible to complete this important inspection with no discrepancies,” said Brad Christopher, Assistant Director of Airports.  “They are to be commended for their hard work and diligence in making this possible, and this is a testament to their commitment to a high level of safety.”

 Mid-Continent Airport has received perfect inspections in 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
