Wichita Airport Traffic Continues to Climb

Airline passenger traffic at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport (ICT) was up 5.09% in October over last year, with 138,044 total passengers using the airport compared to 131,352 in 2009.  Total traffic is up 2.86% for the year, with nearly 1.3 million passengers through October.  The October report marks three consecutive months of increased airline passenger traffic for the Airport.

 Nearly every airline at ICT experienced an increase in October.  AirTran Airways was up a significant 37% compared to the same month last year.  Frontier was up 27%, and United was up 14%.  The busiest airline was Delta, followed closely by United and American.  AirTran, Continental, Allegiant, and Frontier rounded-out the remaining carriers in order of traffic.
